Love it!
Date:March 6, 2011
This is like my third year with this mp3. I highly recommend it. It holds tons of music and has an amazingly long battery life. It can do more then some of my friends' ipods. Not to mention the fact it can live through 2012. It doesn't even freeze up after I drop it. It holds photos, videos, music, radio recordings and voice recordings. I love it and take it everywhere. I hope you'll enjoy it as well.

screen stop working
Date:January 2, 2011
This is no good MP3 player. The screen stop working and if I want it fixed I would have to pay more than what I paid for the MP3 player. I would not recommend this at all.

Good Product for Me
Date:December 26, 2010
Pros: plays wma format, small size, viewing screen, clear sound
Cons: downloads books to "music", cannot "turn" or scan by page
I bought the Sansa View 2 years ago because I nneded a device that I could download WMA formatted books for "reading". I am able to check-out and download library books from my home computer. This is wonderful, as I am visiually impaired and can no longer drive or read book print without electronic magnification. I download numerous books at one time. The battery life has enough capacity to get through a book easily.
The down side: I cannot skip pages, the forward button doesn't work very well. I have enjoyed my device VERY MUCH. Thank you SanDisk.

JUNK!!
Date:October 28, 2010
This product is a huge hunk of junk!! I've had problems with this product since day one. When it's on shuffle it freezes and won't let you change songs or turn it off, the battery doesn't hold a charge for longer than a day, after you turn it off once it won't come back on even when it is fully charged and when it doesn't turn back on it still somehow runs down the battery.II was also extremely upset when there weren't any assecories to go along with this MP3 player. This is my second Sansa MP3 Player, my first one lasted me a very long time but this one hasn't lasted me 6 months. Do not buy this product it is an extreme waste of money you will be dissapointed. I will not be ordering from Sansa again.

Amazing Machine
Date:September 7, 2010
Ok so a while ago i lost my generic mp3 on a walk and was without music for about a week when i saw my old sansa that i had used in grades 10 and 11. It had some operating problems in the past, but i decided to atempt to fix it and i suceeded there is only a slight problem with the head phone jack other wise it works like new. Honestly these amazing machines are something to consider for those who lead very active lives and who need to follow a budget btw i graduated 4 years ago and the mp3 still works.

Sansa View 16G
Date:August 31, 2010
Pros: compact design, memory expansion
Cons: player freezes constantly, lags and display doesn't show current song info, shuffle doesn't work as well as it should, player freezes (yes it's this annoying)
On the plus side- I like the look and feel of this player, first and foremost. I also like the fact that I can upgrade the memory with the use of the SD expansion slot. The player sounds good, although I've noticed a lot of distortion when using the graphic EQ. Now for the negatives:.The interface has a lot of bugs in it. My main complaint is how often it freezes. It freezes probably 50% of the time when used. Making the player useless to change the songs or volume. I also get annoyed with the shuffle mechanism on the player. With over 4000 songs on this thing, I should go for weeks without hearing the same song twice. This isn't the case. I've even had the player on shuffle and it played the same song twice in a row. It also has a lag problem. When playing, it sometimes is still displaying the song info from a song it played two or three songs back. Very annoying. If it weren't for the freezing, lagging and shuffle program, I'd rate this at 4 stars, possibly a 5. But when I have to turn off the player and re-boot it to correct the lag and/or freeze, it becomes more of a nuisance than a source of entertainment.

Everything has its Ups and Downs
Date:August 24, 2010
Pros: great filesize, nice clear screen
Cons: freezes sporadically
I've had both the Sansa Clip and Sansa Fuze. When I "upgraded" to the Sansa View, I was excited. But I soon realized that this music player has some irritable flaws and yet some pluses. Firstly, the Sansa View freezes at sporadic times. Fortunately, I am a patient guy, but I know that others would be frustrated with the freezing. Secondly, I like the screen size of the View. It's twice as bigger as the Fuze and now I can watch movies that I've downloaded with a better screen. Lastly, I would say that the Sansa View is not for everyone. If you can't stand freezing while cycling through your song, then try something else. But if you can look past that, you have yourself a nice movie theater and music player.

Thumbs Up!
Date:August 21, 2010
I bought my first Sandisk e280v2 about 4 years ago. I bought it to replace my 4GB Samsung yz-5p which was no longer able to support my growing music collection. It was nice to have double the space plus an expansion card capabilty as well. The downside was that model only held 2GB in the expansion slot. Anyways the battery started to go on me, so I decided to look into something newer and that had more space. I was very pleased with the quality of the music from the Sandisk product so I decided to look into the View. I purchased the 16GB and got and additional 16GB expansion card. I have more than enough room for my currect music collection and future growth too. As with the previous model I had, the musical reproduction is high quality, superior to the Samsung as well. The only negative that I have encountered with this new model is when skipping tracks, there's an annoying delay, a couple seconds as a matter of fact. That and the Fast-Forward feature during play sucks, it goes 3 seconds at at time, not like my older e280. Other than that, i would totally recommend this product to others, and can be had at a very affordable price.

Screen cracked, fragile, find another player
Date:August 20, 2010
Pros: worked great until the screen cracked.
Cons: fragile design easily damaged with light use
I'm bummed. This player had very limited, gentle use. Then one day I noticed the screen was cracked, it won't display any video and the device is useless.
I have no clue how this happened as I recall no harsh treatment of the player.
Of course, the repair is more costly than a replacement. I've done some research and found I'm not alone. Numerous people have complained of broken screens.
I suggest searching for a more durable player.

Bought a Sansa View 16 GB and used it only once or twice and then the headphone jack stopped working correctly, and the music sounds all weird and you can't hear the lyrics in the music. I made sure to always take the headphone jack out when I wasn't listening to it so it wouldn't wiggle around and loosen the connector inside the player, because I've had portable CD players in the past where the headphone jack got messed up from wear and tear but that was after years of constant use, and me not knowing that wiggling around the headphone jack would damage it. Now that I know, I took every precaution and yet this headphone jack broke within a very short time of me owning the product and with very, very limited use. I would not recommend this product to anyone else.

Had nothing but trouble
Date:August 2, 2010
Pros: larger storage
Cons: bad battery, throw away after battery dies
Originally had e series, but wanted bigger and gave my e series to my husband and purchased the 16GB view. Had to send the first one back as it was DOA. Had all sorts of trouble with battery life and charging. Did software upgrade and it was better, but every now and then would not charge properly, and now it has died, won't charge at all, so I suppose the battery is dead. The e series is still going strong. Also the colours in the video were not as good as the e series. So overall I wish I had stuck with my smaller e series . Would never buy another sansa view, and would not recommend to anyone. I may as well have thrown my money in the bin.

great for music pretty good for audio books
Date:July 22, 2010
Overall this player has served me well. It has held up fairly well (with the exception of the cover popping up a little). Radio receiver works pretty well. It is fairly user friendly and works well with music. Audio books however transfer to music menu and you have to scroll through music titles to get to the book you want to hear. When you play all your music on shuffle, book chapters are also put in the play list. Fast forward and reverse are difficult to use and once it switches over to the next section of the book, you cannot rewind back to the end of the previous section (you have to go back to beginning of that last section and then fast forward to the end of the section (very time consuming). Overall however, it is a good player.

Where did all of my songs go?
Date:July 17, 2010
Pros: looks good in black, excellent photo and video quality, durable
Cons: poor battery, difficult to sync, deletes your songs, slow startup time, picky about laptops, won't play music while charging
I have had this thing for about two years now and I am really regretting my purchase. This thing deletes your songs randomly. One day it will say that I have 823 songs and 565 the next. The sync for this is a nightmare, one day I plugged it in and it sent all of the pictures I had on my computer to my sansa! That was a disaster to fix because I had to delete each one by hand. It is very picky about laptops and you can't charge it off just any device. I tried that and it deleted EVERYTHING. These days, it REFUSES to take a charge. It says it has a full battery then it dies. It says it has no battery, then it plays 23 songs. I am just about ready to throw out on the highway in front of a mac truck. It works great for a while, then it just gets to be a hassle and a nightmare. If you are considering this, don't. Buy another MP3 player, don't waste your money.

Go Sansa View!
Date:July 10, 2010
I got it for Christmas 2 years ago and I love it! It's light and thin and its very easy to use. If it's turned on in my school bag and it is playing music you can't hear it because it has no speakers. If you want speakers you just go into the shop and (remember to bring it with you) ask do hey have speaker that fit into it. The music from my computers Media Player goes on it when I say to (You know what I mean). As soon as I plug it in it reconizes it and it also tells me when charged.
As I said Go Sansa View!

Buggy
Date:July 8, 2010
The design and feel of it is great. Uploads music quickly and is easy to figure out. But i found that it constantly freezes up whenever you change the song, scrolling through songs, shoot.. even turning the volume up or down. Definitely has some bugs in it. But you learn how to deal with them. After it freezes, the screen will fade to black, then usually fixes itself after that. You kinda learn to just accept it lol Overall .. ehh.. its ok i guess

slow boot
Date:June 30, 2010
The View takes 1min20sec to boot up, not just after adding tracks, but each and every time I power it up.
Most people would be better off buying a fuze/sdhc card; the fuze is faster, more stable, and does ogg/flac.

Money Well Spent
Date:June 25, 2010
Ok so I've never been a fan of the ipod after watching my friend go through 3 in one year. I've had my sansa for about 3 years now and it still works just fine. I love the different color backgrounds and its picture quality is quite nice. Its a fine product that stands the test of time.I've dropped it, soaked it in tea, and left it in my hot car in the summer time and it still works. I recommend this product to anyone.
