Not recognised by computer reliably
Date:February 18, 2011
Pros: attractive
Cons: useless, ineffective, waste of money
It worked fine the 1st time I used it. Later the connection kept dropping and the computer could not hold the connection long enough to transfer data. Finally the computer could not "see" the reader at all. Extremely poor product. Waste of money.

Great reader....bad stand It's Magnetic!!
Date:January 27, 2011
Pros: reads great, works with a lot of cards
Cons: the stand is magnetic and it's around computers.
I bought this reader because I had the previous iteration and it worked flawlessly, but had to be replaced since it didn't read SDHC. This new version looked sleek and stylish and because it was SanDisk, I thought it would be a great buy. It's worked great so far, except for one small thing.
The stand and reader are attached by a magnet!! If you are going to put this on your desktop, make sure you leave plenty of room away from metal objects, your monitors, speakers and/or external hard drives.

Sleek good looking card reader
Date:October 13, 2010
Pros: slim small size., good looks
Cons: cannot accept m2 type card directly
It is easy to use and looks good too. But a pity it cannot accept M2 type card and needs an MSPD adaptor to be used with the M2 type card. Other than this minor inconvenience, I find this card reader very appealing and sleek. The metal magnetic stand is an X-factor here. Overall: Good.

Works with lots of media types and is fast
Date:September 21, 2010
Small and sleek. the magnetic stand looks good but is pretty useless as any USB cable combined with movement, say laptop, means it will fall off easily. It is priced a bit higher then some other makes. Its glossy finish will show finger prints. Given all that, it works well and features the one touch button on top that allows for easy transfer.

disappointment
Date:September 15, 2010
I used this item successfully once. The next time I tried to download, nothing happened. Even my professional daughter could not get it to work. And, we followed the instructions very carefully. Plus, the Quick Start Guide is not sufficiently well written.

USB 3
Date:September 11, 2010
Cons: periferals outdated
What is the good of having a CF Extreme IV when SanDisk dose not keep up with the times and introduces a USB 3 card readers. Even halve decent cameras have enough buffer making a fast storage media superfluous. The crunch comes; downloading 8Gig of memory.

Good cardreader

I bought this cardreader to replace my firewire cardreader and I completely satisfied with it performance. It downloads photos from my Extreem III card pretty fast, has nice design and quiet small size to carry it with my laptop.

Works as I expected
Date:April 13, 2010
Pros: small size, good build, speed, ease of use
Cons: soft case would have been nice
I love the size and that the mount is now magnetic. Easy to store in my laptop case or even back in the box it came in. The blue LED is not overly bright as some other products. Worked right off the bat with my Vista office machine, my win7 home machine and my older XP laptop. Took some photos from my Sandisk 4gig extreme II and had no issues with corruption or dropouts or anything like what other people are having. Was also impressed that it actually can accept a microSD without an adapter. That makes it easy for me with my Blackberry memory.

Super Slow
Date:March 22, 2010
I use an Extreme III16 g/b CF card, this reader is super slow at uploading the images to my MACBOOK. Unfortunately, I have no other choice since I do not have a firewire plug.

Great fast reader -- reads all the formats I need!
Date:March 10, 2010
Pros: fast reader, reads many formats, great size
Cons: a soft case would be nice
Wow, what a fast reader! I got this to keep in my DSLR camera bag and I love it. It's just the size and convenience I need! The first time I transferred pictures and video from my SD card I was shocked! I've never had a corrupted file with this reader either. You won’t regret this purchase!

Same problem as above
Date:March 4, 2010
I also have the same problem as above with this product. Card reader connection drops out after a short time - corrupting files which were being transferred. Not recommended.

Horrible Purchase
Date:February 18, 2010
I purchased this used it twice. The second time I went to use it it kept on losing connection to my PC stopping any copy processes I had running and corrupting any data that was half/transferred.
Useless product that doesn't do the only thing it is intended to do.
